So just announced today are some of the Roadshows and Events that I shall be hosting over Summer 2014….

Saturday 21st June 2014:

The Supercar Event (in association with The Children’s Trust, Tadworth)

Where: Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh, Surrey. GU6 8TB.

09.00- 16.30 (all weekend)

I shall be hosting this event for the first time for 107.8 Radio Jackie at the home of ‘Top Gear’, This Supercar Events is already shaping up to be the highlight of the 2014 calendar, as in previous years all money raised is paid directly to the Children’s Trust in Tadworth, the charity that looks after children with brain injuries.

Now in its 8th year, the event, formerly known as, ‘Dad’s Day Out’ is a weekend supercar extravaganza with something for everyone. Where else can you pick from a list of the majority of greatest supercars ever made?? You can even be driven around at speed on the track where the McLaren MP4 was developed (apparently, that’s amazing!!)

Sunday 22nd June 2014:

Fuller’s London Pride 10K

Where: Fuller’s Brewery, Chiswick Lane South, London. W4 2QB.

Time: 10.00 – 16.00

Since 1996 The Fullers London Pride 10k has raised over £1million for Cancer Research UK, specifically for the incredible research taking place at Hammersmith Hospital. I hosted it last year with Nicola Hume and after joking over the PA system that I’d run and host it…well here we are, the joke’s on me. I shall be doing exactly that: RUNNING THE 10K and HOSTING THE 10K!! Well, if Helen Skelton, did it at the London Marathon, so can I!!!

Thousands of people have taken part in this popular family event. An opportunity to walk, jog or run, this scenic 10k route, which starts and finishes at near the Griffin Brewery in Chiswick. Follow the winding Thames Towpath taking in the stunning views between Chiswick and Hammersmith Bridges. The route is suitable for all ages, and is completely buggy/wheelchair friendly.

Battersea Dogs, Old Windsor Fun Day

Where: Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Old Windsor. SL4 2JN

Time: 10.30 – 4.30

This will be the 3rd year that I’ve hosted this event in leafy Windsor. Such a wonderful day with loads of activities for your four-legged friends including dog competitions for the greatest golden oldie, the dog who looks most like their owner and a talent contest. Like last year, Ambassador Dame Jacqueline Wilson will be joining us to crown the winners on the day. Or if your pooch isn’t one for the limelight there’s lots of games on offer including a opportunity for them to test their agility skills. This is an unmissable day for dogs, dog lovers and owners.

All the money raised from our Fun Day helps us to care for the thousands of lost, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats who arrive at our gates every year.

As a Charity, The Royal Star and Garter home have been caring, for the Nation’s Military personnel since 1916. They do not receive any direct government funding and rely heavily on donations from supported to continue to do the sterling work that they do which is to be around to care for those that have served us in times of conflict and caring for them for generations to come.

This is a very worthy charity that I’m proud to be supporting and hosting their Charity Fun Day, fundraising on one of their biggest events of the year.
