Thank you so much to all those who came out for this event last weekend. We had more people turn out for this beautiful Sunday than at any point in the last three years I’ve done it and a wonderful way to mark this, the 20th Year of the Annual Battersea Dogs Roadshow.
Hundreds of dogs and their owners travelled far and wide to Battersea Park with the hope of being crowned a top rescue dog at our 20th Annual Reunion and Fun Day. It was a challenging task choosing the handsomest dog or the hound with the fanciest dress, made even more difficult when so many puppy dog eyes and Battersea rags-to-riches stories were told. This was the dilemma faced by award-winning author Dame Jacqueline Wilson, Holby City actor Jules Knight, Matt Johnson from ITV’s This Morning, and world famous fashion designer Julien Macdonald.
The Annual Reunion and Fun Day was an opportunity for Battersea supporters and their dogs to get together, catch up with old friends, and make some new ones and the event was a spectacular family affair, welcoming all dogs, not just former Battersea residents.
So many people asked if Paul O’Grady (ITV’s ‘For the Love of Dogs’) was going to be there, he was busy, busy, busy of course, but they are planning this for the special 21st next year…I cant wait!! Here are some pics…..
