It’s that time again…

For the SIXTH year running I’ll be hosting the Battersea Dog’s Annual Reunion and Fun Day in Battersea Park this Sunday!! You and your canine are more than welcome on 4th September from 11am until 4.30pm in Battersea Park, London.

Join us for lots of family fun including dog classes and trick displays, a tombola, a fun fair and you may even spot a Battersea-supporting celebrity or two. There will also be plenty of stalls to browse and tasty snacks to feast upon.

Last year was a record breaker in two ways… 21 degrees, 10,000 people in total came throughout the day and we had fun, my camera man James Gray recorded it all (so I have the proof!) The event is open to all dog lovers, not just those who have re-homed a Battersea Dog. You can enter your four-legged companions into a range of competitions including ‘Golden Oldie’, ‘Most Fabulous Fella’ and the hotly contested ‘Best Battersea Dog’.

All the money raised from the event goes towards caring for the thousands of lost, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats who come in the three Battersea centres every year in: Brands Hatch, Windsor and Battersea itself.

Canine competitions

The competitions that I’ll be hosting are open to all dogs of every shape and size, and there is no limit as to how many dogs you can enter – as long as that class isn’t full.

Each class is £2 per dog. In the main ring, there’s a maximum of 150 entrants per class.

Yes, well spotted there’s the return this year of the ‘Dog that looks most like its owner’ category!! Will it be hotter than last year? Will even more people come to the event and break another record, will we manage to re-home the Battersea Dogs’ that have been in the home the longest? Come and find out!

I’ll be there from 10.00am with the Radio St Helier crew in production, so come and say “hello”!!
